Founded in 1983, GIDI Meccanica initially operated in the sports sector, becoming one of the leading companies in the production of ski boot buckles.

Thanks to the experience gained over the years, the company has gradually expanded its operations into strategic markets such as the automotive, hydraulic, plumbing and furniture sectors, consolidating its position as a leader in the design and manufacture of high-precision metal components using cold forming.

Today, GIDI Meccanica has a global presence through a structured distribution network. The headquarters are located in Vazzola, in Northeast Italy, near Treviso, and span two production facilities covering a total of 16.500 m².

In 2000, the group welcomed its affiliated company GIDI Manufacturing, based in Romania, and in 2001 it acquired Ferrox Srl in Cimavilla (TV), a company specializing in rehabilitation products.
Since 2021, a 23.3-meter-high vertical automated warehouse with a total capacity of 9.800 tons has been operational. It was designed to consolidate raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products in a single location. This infrastructure optimizes space and ensures efficient management according to the FIFO method.

Thanks to continuous investments, the group has rapidly grown, reaching a global revenue of €52 million in 2025 and a staff of 281 people (174 in Italy + 107 in Romania).

We are a leading company in the production of cold-formed components.

Our affiliated company in Romania, GIDI Manufacturing, is focused on the assembly of complex mechanisms. The facility also carries out painting and pad printing operations through highly automated production lines. While the products supplied are linked to winter sports equipment, the plant’s production flexibility allows it to provide components for a wide range of sectors.
The company has gradually integrated cold forming into its production process, alongside the traditional bar-turning technology. This synergy between different processes allows the production of strong, competitive, and sustainable components used in the automotive, sports, industrial, and hydraulic sectors.

Through our quality system, we continuously verify and improve our processes

Production monitoring, combined with various statistical techniques, has allowed us to improve our manufacturing processes by creating direct interaction between the different stages of production.
Over time, the company has established a Metrology Laboratory and a Testing Laboratory, enabling various types of dimensional and functional inspections to support production, research, and development.
To pursue zero scrap, we have introduced complete inspections both on and off the production line. To achieve this goal, some of these are made according to our specific requirements and through our co-design efforts. At certain stages, full inspections are performed using laser camera systems and Eddy Current testing. Thanks to three-dimensional measurement systems (CMM), we can verify the geometric characteristics of components. This capability, combined with statistical analyses (SPC on machines, processes, and measuring instruments), allows us to improve the products we deliver and fully meet our customers’ expectations.
